Emma Jane Sellers, 83, of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at her home in Hagerstown.

Born Sept. 16, 1928, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Margaret Louise (Wright) Caution. She was the wife of William Samuel Sellers Sr. whom she married Aug. 12, 1949.

Emma was a graduate of North Street School, Hagerstown. She was a past employee of the Washington County Board of Education, where she worked in the school cafeterias for more than 25 years.

She was a past member of the Lady Elks, the Goodwill Association and Asbury United Methodist Church, Hagerstown, where she had participated as a Willing Worker.

In addition to her husband, Emma is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. Johnson and Karen E. Frisby; a son, Jeffrey F. Sellers, all of Hagerstown; a stepbrother, Mervin Scott of Harrisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. The Rev. G. Nathan C. Bell will officiate.

There will be no viewing.
