The Maryland Holstein Scholarship Committee will make available scholarships to Maryland Holstein youth.
Included will be a $2,000 scholarship to the outstanding Maryland Holstein scholar; and as many as four $750 scholarships, all to be awarded at the 2012 Maryland Holstein Convention, which will be in Garrett County, Md.
The scholarships are offered to Maryland Junior Holstein members who are enrolled or have been enrolled in a dairy project with Holstein cattle and are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. Students may be attending a two-year or four-year degree granting institution in a college of agriculture; or a four-year program in a nonagricultural area of study.
Started in 1973, the scholarship program has grown in the number of awards given and the monetary levels due to the continued support and generosity of Maryland Holstein members and friends.
Applications must be typed in the space allotted, and an official academic transcript, along with a recent wallet size (head and shoulders shot only) photo must accompany the application. Provide only the information requested.
