Naomi B. (Hahn) Shifflett, 90, of Edgemont Road, Smithsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, from Waynesboro Hospital.

Born July 11, 1921, in Edgemont, she was the daughter of the late George Cleveland and Carrie Belle (Ott) Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Shifflett, on Sept. 27, 1989.

She was a homemaker and was employed by Rinehart Orchards and Gene Smith.

She attended Blue Mountain Church of God.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Carbaugh and husband, Charles; sons, Charles and wife, Gladys, Donald and wife, Lois, David and wife, Deb, Kenny and wife, Marybeth, and Butch Wilhide and wife, Ruthann; sisters, Ileene Barkdoll and Kathleen Minnick; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lewis L. and Leonard E. Shifflett; great-granddaughter, Angela Mays; sisters, Marie Thompson, Hilda Beam and Mildred Wilhide; and brothers, Norvin, Bill and Eugene Hahn.


Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at 1 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will be in Harbaugh Cemetery Rouzerville, Pa.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
