James William “Jim” Albright, 60, of NMS Healthcare of Hagerstown, and formerly of Clear Spring, Md., passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the home.

Born Oct. 9, 1951, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Chester L. Albright Sr. and Helen (Rubeck) Albright.

He was a member of Kaiserville Bible Church of Kaiserville, Pa., during his youth.

He was a graduate of Clear Spring High School, class of 1969, and also the Vocational Technical Center, where he studied welding.

Prior to his disability, he was employed by Eastern Products Corp. until the plant closed and then worked for Ryder P.I.E. and Cassidy Trucking.


Jim loved to bowl and was a member of various local leagues. He also at one time had an extensive miniature tractor-trailer collection.

He is survived by three brothers, Joseph Albright of Clear Spring, Robert Albright of Marion, Pa., and John C. Albright of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Shirley “Sis” Bivens of Mercersburg, Pa., and Edith “Sue” Whorten of Clear Spring; and one aunt, Elizabeth Bingham of Green Valley, Ariz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Chester Jr., Kenneth, Michael and Roger Albright.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Evangel Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Md., with Pastor Ron Faith officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring.
