Jack Edward Osborne, 82, of Hagerstown, Md., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at his home.

Born Dec. 14, 1928, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Perry Edward and Shirley G. Bowers Osborne.

He graduated from Boonsboro High School.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.   

He was employed by Pangborn Corporation for 41 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Black Rock Bible Church.

He was a member of the Funkstown American Legion Post 211.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Vulgamott Osborne; one son, Jack E. Osborne Jr. and wife, Kris, of Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Christie Lee Mitchell of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Ashley N. Mitchell of West Virginia, Brooke Rutherford, Jessica L. Osborne, and Sean M. Osborne, all of Hagerstown; and six great-grandchildren, twins, Andrew O. West and Austin J. West, Isaiah Mitchell, and Dylan Rutherford, all of Hagerstown, Ashtin S. Hoover of West Virginia, and Caleb Bielmann of Ontario, Canada; and 10 cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Matthew Robinson and the Rev. S. Dwight Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Morris Frock Post 42, the American Legion of Hagerstown.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
