HAGERSTOWN — Former Hagerstown Community College runners led the way at HCC's 11th annual Turkey Trot 5K on Thursday morning.
Tony Clement, 24, won the 3.1-mile race in 14 minutes, 41 seconds, while Wade Miller, 21, was second in 15:00 and Justin Cole, 23, took third in 15:45. All three ran track and cross country for HCC.
North Hagerstown graduate Taryn Shank, 20, was the top female for the second straight year, finishing in 18:35. Lauren Johnson, 17, a senior at Smithsburg, was the runner-up in 19:37, and former Smithsburg runner Stephanie Breen, 19, was third in 19:41.
The Masters (40-and-over) champs were Rob Hovermale, 47, of Smithsburg (16:49) on the men's side and Annica Hedman-Marsh, 42, of Boonsboro (20:03) on the women's.
There were 921 overall finishers.
