Rescuers respond to U.S. 340 crash

Rescue workers responded to a traffic accident at about 2:35 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 340 in southern Washington County, a Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said.

The dispatcher said the accident was near Valley Road,  east of the Harpers Ferry National Historic Park.

Further details of the crash were unavailable late Thursday afternoon, Maryland State Police said.
