Kimberly “Kim” Cheree Yumlu, 45, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Inova Hospital in Falls Church, Va.

Born April 22, 1966, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Henry Tracy Piper Sr. and Bonnie Lee Shoemaker Piper of Williamsport.

She was a 1984 graduate of Williamsport High School and also attended Hagerstown Junior College.

She was employed by the Washington County Board of Education at Springfield Middle School as a special education paraprofessional. She was very dedicated to her students at Springfield Middle School. She was previously employed by UPS of Hagerstown.

She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God in Halfway, Md.

She was the program director of the Boys & Girls Club of Williamsport, coordinated many activities at Williamsport High School and Springfield Middle School, and volunteered with many functions for the town of Williamsport. She was very involved and supportive of her daughters’ soccer leagues, and was a member of Williamsport High School Athletic Boosters.

She was a very caring person and a dedicated wife and mother. Her family meant everything to her.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Christopher Kenneth Yumlu of Hagerstown, whom she married Feb. 14, 1987; daughter, Cheree C. Roberts and her husband, A.J., of Martinsburg, W.Va.; daughter, Kaylee D. Yumlu at home; brother, Henry Tracy Piper Jr. and companion, Kimberly Brewer, of Hagerstown; brother, Scott Bradley Piper and companion, Jessica Stotler, of Greencastle, Pa.; nieces, Jessica Piper and Morgan Piper; great-niece, Alyssa Eddington; great-nephew, Bently Piper Turner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Virginia Avenue Church of God, Halfway, with the Rev. A. Paul Harne officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.
