George David Hose, 66, of Pinesburg, Md., died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at his home.

Born March 21, 1945, in Pinesburg, he was the son of the late Herman Edward “Pretzel” and Pearl Eliza Rudy Hose.

He was a 1963 graduate of Williamsport High School.

He was employed by Mack Trucks Inc. of Hagerstown, Md., for 30 years until retiring in 2001.

He attended Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport, Md.

He was a volunteer at the Hagerstown Rescue Mission and Meals on Wheels of Washington County.

He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 171 of Hagerstown.

Survivors include sister, Doris J. Bowers and her husband, Ray, of Williamsport; sister, Lorena Stocks and her husband, Jason, of Hagerstown; brother, Jack L. Hose and his wife, Nancy, of Halfway, Md.; brother, Edward L. Hose and his wife, Kathy, of Dargan, Md.; and special caregivers, Jodie Burchett and Thelma Keeney. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one sister, Dorothy M. Hose.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James E. Swecker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Friday for the convenience of family and friends.
