Donation to school

Thanks to the efforts of Mark Fulton of AC&T at 11079 Big Pool Road in Big Pool, Clear Spring Elementary School has been awarded a $500 ExxonMobil education alliance grant for math and science instruction. The money will be used to purchase resources that will be used to further student learning in STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Funded by the ExxonMobil Corp., the program is designed to provide Exxon retailers like AC&T with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Emily Knode, who celebrated her birthday Nov. 18. I hope you enjoyed your day. Happy birthday.

Did you know?

Did you know that if the Old National Pike could talk it might have some very interesting stories?

Many U.S. presidents traveled on it to Clear Spring and on to Camp Harding. Many plush stagecoaches, freight wagons, covered wagons carrying families and farmers driving their cattle and pigs used the old road.
