Area residents lose weight, collect food

November 22, 2011

Hagerstown-area Weight Watchers members joined the fight against hunger and obesity by participating in the fourth annual Lose for Good campaign.

As Weight Watchers members lose weight, they collected food to donate to Food Resources and REACH to help area residents in need. Within seven weeks, the group lost 2,760 pounds, and collected 1,399 pounds of food.

"The Lose for Good campaign provides a chance for folks to reduce their weight and help someone in need," says Tammy Norris, Weight Watchers territory manager.
