On Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., South Hagerstown High School will host an open house in the school’s library for eighth-graders who will be entering high school next year.
Students will have an opportunity to learn about the following specialized magnet/academy programs: Academic Leadership Academy, Finance Academy, Teacher Academy and Oracle Academy.
Students will also meet with teachers and counselors to talk about admission requirements and the application process.

College aid seminar
A free seminar titled “Guiding the College-Bound Athlete” will be held today at 7:30 p.m. in the Williamsport High School auditorium.
All parents and student athletes in grades eight to 12 are encouraged to attend. The event will teach parents and athletes how to find the right college and where to look for financial aid/scholarships.
The information is valuable to any young athlete who would like to enjoy athletics beyond high school.
