Shippensburg man charged with using car to assault woman

A Shippensburg, Pa., man has been charged with using his car to attack a woman earlier this week in Greene Township, Pa., according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release.

Troopers said Keith Lloyd Mickey, 24, of Shippensburg, has been charged with assault. They allege he assaulted a 23-year-old woman with his car at 8 p.m. Wednesday, then filed a false police report that claimed his car had been stolen.

The incident occurred on Old Scotland Road in the area of Pine Stump Road, the release said.

Woman allegedly kicked, slapped; Fairfield man charged

A Fairfield, Pa., man has been charged with slapping and kicking a woman earlier this week in Montgomery Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

Tyler Anthony Leishear, 20, of Fairfield, was charged with simple assault, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said the incident occurred at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 12800 block of Binkley Road, where Leishear allegedly got into an argument with a 19-year-old woman and slapped her in the face several times. Police allege Leishear also kicked the woman in the torso several times and pushed her face into the floor.

Montgomery Township is in Franklin County.

• At 2:29 a.m., wires down in the 300 block of Shively Road in Greene Township.
• At 3:38 p.m., a house fire in the 5000 block of Guitner Road in Hamilton Township.
• At 3:52 p.m., a traffic accident in the 900 block of Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg.
• At 4:39 p.m., a traffic accident in the first block of East Main Street in Waynesboro.
• At 5:42 p.m., arching wires at Philadelphia Avenue and Kennedy Drive in Greene Township.
• At 6:16, a traffic accident in the 1000 block of Rocky Mountain Road South in Quincy Township.
• At 6:24 p.m., a traffic accident at East Main and South Broad streets in Waynesboro.
• At 9:37 p.m., a traffic accident at Stouffer Avenue and Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg.
• At 9:43 p.m., a traffic accident on Interstate 81 in Antrim Township.


• At 7:08 a.m., a commercial fire alarm at Chambersburg Hospital.
