NEWARK, Del. — Yolonda Pinkcett scored 20 points on 9-for-11 shooting and added 13 rebounds to post a double-double and lead Hagerstown Community College past Delaware Tech 60-57 on Tuesday.

Sunny Flores had 20 points and Akatshi Osongo had six points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks (3-0), who held a 41-28 rebounding edge.

Stubbs receives league honor

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Juniata College freshman Nick Stubbs, a South Hagerstown High graduate, received honorable mention as a kick and punt returner in All-Centennial Conference voting released Tuesday.

Stubbs recorded 33 tackles in his first college season, including 26 unassisted. He moved to the offensive side of the ball halfway through the season and had 129 yards rushing on 26 carries, an average of 5.0 yards per carry.

Stubbs recorded both a punt return and a kick return for touchdowns against Franklin & Marshall, and averaged 9.3 yards per punt return and 21.0 yards per kick return this season.

Stubbs also recorded a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, and an interception return for a touchdown this season. Research has yet to uncover any other Division III school with a football player who has scored a touchdown five different ways in a single season.
