Pavement work to affect traffic on two Hagerstown streets

November 16, 2011

Two streets in Hagerstown are subject to temporary lane closures for pavement work, according to a traffic advisory from the City of Hagerstown, www.hagerstownmd.org.

They are:

• West Antietam Street between West Washington Street and Walnut Street

• Manor Drive between Dual Highway and Pangborn Boulevard

Crews from Craig Paving Inc. began installing the final pavement overlay on the roads Tuesday, according to the advisory.

Flagmen are being used when necessary to direct traffic around the work areas. Motorists approaching the work areas will encounter cones, barricades, flagmen and other traffic control devices.

Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through the work zone.
