The Hagerstown Lions Club presented Jack Byers with a 50-year chevron, signifying the completion of 50 years of membership in the local service club, during which he has maintained 50 years of perfect attendance.
Byers is a past president of the club, a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and has been newsletter editor for 40 years.
He is president of Alexander House Inc., retired president of Home Construction Corp. and a former chairman of the Washington County Planning Commission.
