Repaving work leads to lane closures on S. Edgewood Drive

November 14, 2011

HAGERSTOWN — South Edgewood Drive between Paul Smith Boulevard and the city limits near Funkstown is subject to temporary lane closures throughout the day, according to a traffic advisory from the City of Hagerstown's website, www.hagerstownmd.org.

Crews from Craig Paving Inc. are installing new pavement overlay on the road, according to the advisory.

On Saturday, work crews were installing the new pavement on Manor Drive between Dual Highway and Pangborn Boulevard, according to the advisory.

Motorists approaching the paving operations will encounter cones, barricades, flagmen and other traffic control devices.

Emergency vehicles can pass through the area while work is in progress, but traffic may be slow due to the closures, according to the advisory.
