MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Kimberly Yumlu, a Hagerstown woman who was injured Saturday in a hit-and-run accident that involved a tractor-trailer, was listed in critical condition Monday evening at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., a hospital spokesman said.

The crash happened at about 7:45 p.m. in the northbound lane of Interstate 81 north of Martinsburg, W.Va.

When police arrived, a black Toyota sport utility vehicle was resting on its roof, with Kimberly Yumlu, 45, trapped inside and her husband, Christopher Yumlu, outside receiving medical attention, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police.
.
Troopers said the SUV being driven by Christopher Yumlu was struck in the rear by a tractor-trailer. The collision caused him to lose control of the vehicle, which struck a guardrail.

The tractor-trailer left the scene, and its make, model, registration and company were not determined, police said.

Christopher Yumlu, 47, and his juvenile daughter were taken to City Hospital in Martinsburg, where they were treated and released.

Anyone with information about the incident may contact West Virginia State Police in Martinsburg at 304-267-0000.
