HOBBS, N.M. — The Hagerstown Community College men finished 27th out of 39 teams Saturday at the NJCAA Division I national championships.
Brandon Horning led HCC on the 8-kilometer course, placing 92nd out of 288 runners in 28:44.1.
Also for the Hawks, Andrew Drum was 123rd (29:21.8), Mike Salguero was 182nd (30:14.8), Tyler Smith was 187th (30:19.6), William Atchison was 191st (30:25.5), Ryan Kaiser was 211th (30:51.0) and Stephen Starliper was 247th (32:06.5).
Shank 46th as Elizabethtown women place third
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — North Hagerstown graduate Taryn Shank finished 46th and the Elizabethtown College women placed third in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional meet at DeSales University.

Hanlin 10th at Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. — Cameron Hanlin, 23, of Hagerstown, placed 10th at the Richmond Marathon on Saturday.
He completed the 26.2 miles in a personal-best time of 2 hours, 32 minutes, 15 seconds.
