BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — War Memorial Hospital and Valley Health will offer the Heart Attack Risk Program from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, in the education room at War Memorial Hospital, 109 War Memorial Drive, Berkeley Springs.
Individuals will have their risk of heart disease assessed by participating in a simple health screening that will provide participants with information on their total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol/HDL ratio, triglycerides, blood sugar, blood pressure, and body weight/body mass index.
The screening process is by appointment only. Participants must fast for 12 hours before their appointment time.
A $20 fee applies to the screening. The fee is waived for anyone who has had open-heart surgery at Winchester Medical Center. For more information about the Heart Attack Risk Program or to schedule an appointment, call Paul Cooper at 304-258-6577.
