2. Celebrating books and the library

The  First Editions fundraiser will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Boonsboro Library, 401 Potomac St., Boonsboro. Light refreshments, music and silent and live auctions. Local authors Gail Barrett, Susan Donovan, Lauren Carr and Tim Rowland will be on hand to meet and talk with attendees. Books by these authors will be sold throughout the evening. $25. 3. Toys!

Western Maryland Farm Toy Show will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at  Washington County Agriculture Education Center, Sharpsburg Pike, south of Hagerstown. Farm toys, trucks and farm memorabilia. Displays and sales. Sponsored by Tri-State Farm Toy Collectors Club. Kiddie pedal pull at noon Saturday. $2; $1.50 seniors; free for ages 10 and younger. 4. Oh, Christmas tree


Waynesboro tree lighting will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Center Square, Waynesboro, Pa. Entertainment by Waynesboro Children's Theater Troupe, teen bagpiper Patrick Willock and Waynesboro High School's Wayneaires will perform a new arrangement of "A Jingle Bell Rock!" 5. Night of music and art

Acoustical Night and Art Show will be held 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Right Choice Ministries, 20204 Old Forge Road, Hagerstown.
