Hagerstown Bridge Club posts American Contract Bridge League charity game results

Twenty-four pairs competed in an American Contract Bridge League charity game Wednesday, Nov. 9, during a meeting of the Hagerstown Bridge Club.

Overall winners in Flight A were: first place, Madeline and Bill Davis with a 62.9-percent game; second place, Debbie Kiser and Rick Elbo with 60.6 percent; third place, Emma Eaton and Hilda Sullivan; fourth place, Willa Garner and Ann Lebherz; fifth place, Kathleen Goss and Elaine Rowe; and sixth place, Lois Taylor and Robert Freed.

In Flight B, David Rife and Charles Meister came in third; Melva Urban and Robert Back came in fourth; and Barbara Burkhardt and George Laniado came in fifth. In Flight C, Candy Greenway and Scott Kiser came in third.

North-South section winners in Flight A were, fifth place, Tom Janus and David Abuhove.

East-West section winners in Flight A were fourth place, Jean Hollyday and Jean Elbo. In Flight B, Leslie Lege and Jack Sherwood came in third place.

A unit championship game will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at American Legion Post 42, 405 Northern Ave., in Hagerstown.
