HAGERSTOWN — Investigators are interviewing numerous witnesses but still have no suspects in a shooting at a Summer Street duplex in Hagerstown Sunday morning in which a woman was shot in the leg, city police said Wednesday. Detectives are also still trying to determine a motive for the shooting, which occurred about 1:45 a.m., Lt. Tom Langston said in a Hagerstown Police Department news release. A white car observed leaving the area at the time of the shooting has been determined not to be related to the incident, Langston said. Witnesses told investigators that two men approached the duplex at 209 Summer St. on foot and opened fire, police said. Police said 16 shots were fired into the duplex. The weapons used in the shooting were a .45-caliber handgun and a .380-caliber handgun, police said. A dozen or more adults and children were inside the duplex at the time of the shooting. City police, who have been receiving calls from the public offering information about the shooting, hope the information will continue to come in, Langston said. Anyone with information about the shooting can call city police at 301-790-3700.
