40-year-old woman dies from injuries received in Berkeley Co. crash

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A 40-year-old woman died from injuries she received in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Berkeley County, police said.

Joyce A. Morris, address unavailable, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in the 8000 block of Apple Harvest Drive, Berkeley County Sheriff's Lt. W.A. Johnson said in a news release.

Morris was a passenger in a westbound 1992 Honda Accord, which turned left and into the path of a 1988 Jeep that was traveling east, according to the news release.

The medical conditions of four others in the Honda and the driver of the Jeep were not released by police.

The driver of the Jeep, who was not identified, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the news release.

The accident was reported at 3:20 p.m., according to a Berkeley County 911/Central Dispatch supervisor.
