HAGERSTOWN — On Oct. 10, Washington County Free Library staff met with representatives from Singer Group Inc. to begin work on the new strategic plan.
Work will continue for the next few months as members of the community come together to offer input as to how the library can best meet the future information and technology needs of its patrons.
At a luncheon following the work session, staff awards were presented to a number of employees celebrating anniversaries with the library.
Those receiving five-year anniversary awards were Tammy Gantz, John Hart, Ashley Hutson, Shannon Kraushaar and Merry Stinson.
Ten-year awards were given to Carol Appenzellar, Joyce Higgins, Elizabeth Holtz, Harry Sachs, Susan Schnebly, Ruth Valentine and Patricia Wishard.
Dot Miller received a 20-year award; and Pat Brown and Sondra Snyder received 25-year awards.
JoEllen Hilgeman received a 30-year award.
Darlene Reimond and Janlee Viands received 35-year awards.
