HAGERSTOWN — St. Mary Catholic School students recently examined owl pellets in the new science lab at the Hagerstown school.

The class is studying inferences made from indirect evidence. For instance, owls eat their victims whole, regurgitating anything they cannot digest, allowing the students to identify what remains of the animals the owl has eaten.
