STANDISH, Maine — Jennifer Smith of Chambersburg, Pa., recently was inducted into the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society at Saint Joseph's College of Maine.

Smith is enrolled in the bachelor's degree program in health administration through the college's online division for working adults.

Smith is on the fundraising committee at her church, has participated in Relay for Life and has been a hospital volunteer.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Philippa Hatch of Middletown, Md., recently was named a student ambassador at Marist College.

Hatch is a sophomore majoring in fashion design and is a graduate of Middletown High School.

Marist College student ambassadors serve as liaisons between the college and prospective students, families and guidance counselors. They are mentors for high school students, sharing their own experience in the college-search process.

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Washington College has announced that Stephan Jordan, son of Russell and Angela White of Frederick, Md., was honored as a Middendorf Scholar at the college's fall convocation.

The Middendorf Foundation gives the award annually to seniors who display academic excellence and leadership qualities.

Jordan is majoring in political science. He is a member of the Student Government Association, Honor Board, Vocal Consort and Omicron Delta Kappa, an honor society.

Jordan is also a peer mentor, the treasurer of the Class of 2012, a Presidential Fellow, and a Maryland Higher Education Commission Student Advisory Council member.
