Lois A. Baker, 64

Lois Alberta Baker, 64, of Hicksville Road, Clear Spring, Md., died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at the home of her son in Big Pool, Md.

Born Sept. 16, 1947, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Ruth I. Shafer Mellott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Baker.

She was a 1965 graduate of Williamsport High School.

She retired from RCI as a correctional supply supervisor after 26 years of service.

She was an avid horse lover and devoted mother.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Lee Baker and wife, Julie, of Williamsport, Md., and their children, Whitney Baker and Jessica Dodge; and Jamie Baker and wife, Christi, of Big Pool, and their children, Jo Baker, Adriana Baker and Faith Baker; sister, Devona Kerns of Hagerstown; and brother, Eugene Mellott of Hagerstown.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, from 6 to 8 p.m.
