No one was hurt in a single-vehicle accident Thursday on East Potomac Street in Williamsport just north of Artizan Street, said Deputy Bragunier of the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The driver of a Yukon truck was heading northbound on East Potomac Street, lost control of the vehicle and it hit a utility pole in the southbound lane before flipping on its side in front of a driveway at 119 E. Potomac St. The southbound lane of East Potomac Street was blocked off in the area until 8:42 a.m. Thursday morning.
A firetruck from the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Company ws on the scene in addition to the Sheriff's Office. An ambulance from Williamsport Volunteer Fire-EMS was on the scene but left around 8 a.m.
A worker from Verizon was still on the scene examining the pole when the lane reopened. The lane remained closed until the truck was towed away.
Police responded to the accident at 7:40 a.m.
