Sharpsburg Elementary will hold a Red Ribbon Spirit Week Oct. 24 to 28.
Each day students and staff are encouraged to participate by wearing anti-drug clothing.
- Monday — Camo Day, "Be all you can be: Be drug free."
- Tuesday — Crazy Hair Day, "Hair's to a drug-free life."
- Wednesday — Wear Black Day, "Black out drugs."
- Thursday — Wear Jeans Day, "I'm a JEAN-ius: I'm drug free."
- Friday — Wear Boots Day, "Give drugs the boot."
A book fair will be available for student shopping Oct. 27 and 28 and Nov. 1 during parent conferences.
A walkathon will be held Friday, Nov. 4, as a PTA fundraiser.
Keedysville Ruritan to hold basket bingo
The Keedysville Ruritan will hold a basket bingo Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Little Antietam Community Center on Mount Vernon Drive in Keedysville.
Tickets cost $15.
Doors open at 4 p.m. and bingo begins at 6. There will be 25 games (five specials), tip jars, basket raffles and food available. Baskets are filled.
Some are new designs, plus seasonal baskets.
