Hagerstown Police Department seeking public's help in North End assault case

October 14, 2011

The Hagerstown Police Department is seeking the public's help in finding several people who might have information about an assault that occurred last month in the city's North End.

Detective A.W. Fleegal said the assault occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 22, when several people assaulted two men in the area of East Avenue and North Locust Street.

Fleegal said the people who were involved got into an argument at a party in the 200 block of North Mulberry Street. He said the assailants followed the victims when they left the house and attacked them a short time later.

"There were no weapons," Fleegal said. "It was more of a physical assault."

He said one of the victims was in the hospital for about a week, and the other's stay was a little longer.

Anyone with information may call police at 301-790-3700, ext. 234, or submit a tip to crimetip@hagerstownpd.org.
