World War II Weekend

Williamsport will remember life on the homefront at the fourth annual World War II Weekend. Today's events include Battle in the Park at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; a 1940s fashion show at 2 p.m.; and a USO dance at 7 p.m. Sunday's events include a church service at 10 a.m.; Battle in the Park at 1 p.m.; and Williamsport Town Band patriotic concert and military recognition at 3 p.m. Today and Sunday. Harvest Hoedown

An autumn fair and community yard sale. First 1,000 children ages 12 and younger receive a free pumpkin; first 750 children 12 and younger receive a free apple. Event includes free scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, hay rides, pony rides, petting zoo and Country Showcase of America Jamboree. Apple Butter Festival

A parade kick off the apple-butter themed activities today at 9 a.m., followed by two days of family-friendly games, music, food, fine arts and local crafts. Fire Prevention Week

Winestock 2011

A weekend of music and wine. Today's music includes Blue Transfer Band, Adam Taylor and Backroads Blues Band; Sunday's music includes Skweez Play, The Rogues and Mama Jama. Freedom Valley Chorus
