Country butchering, pancake breakfast Saturday

Wilson Ruritan will hold a country butchering and pancake breakfast Saturday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the club, which is west of Huyetts Crossroads on U.S. 40.

The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with one serving of puddin’ or sausage patty or sausage gravy, coffee and orange juice. The breakfast costs $4.50.



Chicken barbecue planned Sunday

Future Business Leaders of America of Clear Spring High School will hold a chicken barbecue Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until sold out at the Wacohu Grange at Huyetts Crossroads.

The meal costs $7 and includes one-half a chicken, baked beans, applesauce and a roll.

Desserts will also be available for purchase.



Basket bingo planned

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will sponsor a Longaberger basket bingo Sunday at the Clear Spring Fire Hall events building. The doors open at noon and the first game starts at 1 p.m.

Tickets cost $25, which includes lunch, 21 games and four specials.

Tickets will be available at the door. Proceeds will benefit St. Andrew’s building fund.



Alumni soccer games moved to Sunday

The Clear Spring alumni soccer games have been rescheduled for Sunday due to poor field conditions.

Graduating classes from 1997 and before will play at 4 p.m. Graduating classes from 1998 to 2010 will play at 5:30 p.m. The games will be played at the high school.
