Road and lane closures for Monday, Oct. 3:

* All lanes of Interstate 81 are now subject to closure in both directions between Interstate 70 and Williamsport for bridge inspection, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration's website. Closure is expected to remain in effect until Sunday, Oct. 23, between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. each day.

* All lanes of eastbound Interstate 70 are subject to closure between Exit 24 (Greencastle Pike/Md. 63) and Exit 26 ( I-81)  for lane markings, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration's website. Closure is expected to remain in effect until Thursday between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m. each day.

* Hopewell Road under the Interstate 70 bridge will be closed for about two months while the road surface is lowered as part of a bridge-widening project on I-70.

* All lanes of both northbound and southbound Interstate 81 will be subject to closure at Exit 1 to Md. 63 ånear Williamsport for sign lighting, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration's website. Closure is expected to remain in effect until Thursday, Oct. 13, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each day.

* The left shoulder and right shoulder of Md. 67 in both directions will be subject to closure at Frog Eye Road between Weverton and Brownsville for invert paving, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration's website. Closure is expected to remain in effect until Friday, Oct. 14, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

* The bridge at the intersection of Mount Tabor and Rush Run roads will be closed until mid-November while the bridge deck is replaced. Motorists are advised to use the Spade Road detour.

* Work to expand the intersection of Massey Boulevard and Halfway Boulevard near Hagerstown continues, causing traffic to be backed up in each direction at different times. Roadwork is expected to continue there until Thanksgiving.

* Work to widen the intersection of Dual Highway and Edgewood Drive continues. Traffic is sometimes sluggish in both directions.

* Only one lane of Md. 550 in Thurmont, Md., is open between Eylers Valley Flint Road and Kelbaugh Road due to a mudslide that occurred April 17. The Maryland State Highway Administration says it is unsure when the road will completely reopen.
