Judith Ann (Newcomb) Faulkner, 70, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at her home.

Born April 19, 1941, in Keyser, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Viola (Coleman) Newcomb.

Judith was a graduate of Keyser High School and went on to attend Allegany College of Maryland.

She retired as an operating room technician at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Md.

She enjoyed reading books and caring for plants and animals.

Judith was preceded in death by her loving husband, Perry Brooks Faulkner, who died in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Jill Alison Hilton and fiance, Daniel Baker; a son, Jack Alan Faulkner and wife, Jaslenna, all of Hagerstown; a sister, Janet Frizell of Frederick, Md.; a brother, Jimmy Newcomb of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren, David Hilton, Jeremy Hilton and wife, Holly, Audrey Faulkner, Sydney Faulkner, Perry Faulkner and Bradley Faulkner; and four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Alan Hilton Jr., Reece Hilton, Haillie Hilton and Madielynn Hilton.

A memorial service will be Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating. Inurnment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
