Twenty-five pairs competed Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Hagerstown Duplicate Bridge Club.
It was an international fund game, therefore there were overall places.
In the overalls, Dick Taylor and David Abuhove were first in the A stratum. Bill and Madeline Davis were second in A and first in B, and Elaine Rowe and Willa Garner were third in A. Ron Clawson and Bob Freed finished fourth in A, and Anne Carden and Bud Wagner were fifth in A. Scott Kiser and Frank Carden placed sixth in A.
Donna Wagner and Lois Gilbert came in second in B and first in C, and Bob Byrd and Patricia Young were third in B and second in C. Barbara Beard and Myrna Kinman finished fourth in B and third in C, and Tom Janus and Jack Mesner finished fifth in B and fourth in C.
Additionally in the north/south direction, Debbie Kiser and Emma Eaton placed fifth in A, and Phil Davis and Robert Knuff were third in B.
The Hagerstown Bridge Club plays every Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 at the American Legion on Northern Avenue, Hagerstown All bridge players are welcome.
On Sunday, Oct. 9, the club will host a two-session Swiss Team charity game, with dinner between sessions, to raise money for Food Resources Inc.
