Boonsboro Warriors (4-0) at Williamsport Wildcats (2-2)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Boonsboro leads, 25-15.

Last meeting: 2010 — Williamsport, 18-12.

Last week: The Warriors beat Clear Spring, 28-7. ... The Wildcats lost to Catoctin, 8-0.

Notes: Williamsport’s win last season ended a 10-game losing streak against Boonsboro. ... Boonsboro improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2008. ... The 142 points scored by the Warriors is their most in the first four games of the season since the 1968 team scored 168. ... Williamsport’s loss to Catoctin ended a two-game winning streak, the first time the Wildcats had won consecutive games since winning four straight in the middle of the 2009 season. ... The Wildcats were shut out by Catoctin for the third straight year. ... The Warriors rolled up 252 rushing yards against Clear Spring last week. Zach Poffenberger led the way with 90 yards, most coming on a 68-yard TD run.

Northern Garrett Huskies (1-3) at Clear Spring Blazers (3-1)

Series: Northern Garrett leads, 3-0.

Last meeting: 2006 — Northern Garrett, 28-0.

Last week: The Huskies beat Frankfort, 21-14. ... The Blazers lost to Boonsboro, 28-7.

Notes: The Huskies and Blazers opened their season against one another from 2004-06. The 2004 meeting was the first varsity game in Clear Spring’s history. ... Northern outscored the Blazers 125-20 in those three meetings. ... The Huskies, considered by many a Class 1A West playoff contender in the preseason, already have lost to two Washington County teams — Smithsburg (7-0) and Williamsport (21-14) — this year. ... The Blazers finished with minus-111 rushing yards against Boonsboro, in large part due to several snaps over the head of QB Adam Mellott. ... Mellott still finished with 226 passing yards, including a TD pass to Mike Sensenbaugh.

North Hagerstown Hubs (3-1) at Brunswick Railroaders (3-1)

Series: North Hagerstown leads, 11-9.

Last week: The Hubs beat Silver Oak Academy, 43-18. ... The Railroaders beat Smithsburg, 35-7.

Notes: The Hubs extended their streak of games with 30 points or more to seven last week against Silver Oak. They have won six of those games. ... The Railroaders have scored 35 points or better in seven of their last nine games, winning all seven. ... Hubs RB Phillip Butler ran for 139 yards and 3 TDs in the win over Silver Oak, one week after setting a North record with five TDs against Oakdale. His 11 TDs leads Washington County. … Railroaders QB Ian Fisher, who has committed to James Madison University, connected on his first 13 passes and finished 31 of 44 for 407 yards in the win over Smithsburg last week. He threw 2 TD passes and ran for another score.

Poolesville Falcons (0-4) at South Hagerstown Rebels (2-2)

Series: First meeting.

Last week: The Falcons lost to Walter Johnson, 41-14. ... The Rebels lost to Thomas Johnson, 35-7.

Notes: The Falcons have a combined 15-21 record against Washington County schools. Nine of their 15 wins have come against Hancock, and five more against Saint James. … The Falcons have been outscored 117-51 this season. They have scored in double digits in each of their four games. … The Rebels allowed just seven points in their first two games combined, but in the last two weeks they have allowed 36 and 35 to Boonsboro and Thomas Johnson, both unbeaten. … The Rebels surrendered 222 passing yards to TJ QB Heath Dahlgren last week. … South QB Brandon Hess threw for 175 yards. Nine of his 17 completed passes went to WR C.J. Davis.

Smithsburg Leopards (2-2) at Catoctin Cougars (2-2)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Smithsburg leads, 24-15.

Last meeting: 2010 — Catoctin, 48-0.

Last week: The Leopards lost to Brunswick, 35-7. ... The Cougars beat Williamsport, 8-0.

Notes: The Cougars have won the last two meetings by a combined 80-0. ... The Leopards have lost two straight games since a 2-0 start to the season. … Since losing their first two games of the season to Middletown and Walkersville — ranked 20th and 21st in the state this week — the Cougars have posted shutout wins over Francis Scott Key and Williamsport. … The Cougars rushed for 273 yards against Williamsport, which included Garrett Sprankle’s 68-yard TD run, the only touchdown of the game. … The Leopards gave up 407 yards passing to Brunswick’s Ian Fisher. … The Leopards rushed for 151 yards, led by Zach Krall with 71.

Sidwell Friends Quakers (2-1) at Hancock Panthers (0-3)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: First meeting.

Last week: The Quakers beat Model School, 42-26. ... The Panthers’ game at Carson Long Military was postponed; it will be played Monday.

Notes: The Quakers have won two straight after a tight loss to Randolph Macon in their season opener. … After gaining just 46 yards on the ground against RMA, the Quakers have averaged 301 yards in their two victories. … Quakers QB Chase Plebani has passed for 396 yards, completing 22 of 56 passes with 2 TDs and 4 INTs. … The Panthers have lost four straight games dating back to last season. Two of those losses are to Bishop Walsh. … Hancock’s game at Carson Long was originally scheduled for last Saturday, but was postponed due to impending storms. A soccer doubleheader Monday prevented the game from being played that day, so it was originally moved to Tuesday before ultimately being rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 3, meaning the Panthers will play three games in eight days.

Potomac School Panthers (1-2) at Saint James Saints (1-3)

Last week: The Panthers lost to St. Stephen/St. Agnes, 22-20. ... The Saints lost to Atlantic Shores, 26-13.

Notes: The Panthers have won the last three meetings in the series, scoring 104 points in the process. … The Saints have lost three straight games since winning their season opener, and have allowed 121 points in those three losses. … Kevin Manesh relieved Bobby Brennan at QB for the Saints last week and threw for 159 yards and a TD, but was also picked off three times. Brennan threw two INTs. … The Saints also pulled off a hook-and-lateral play as Manesh threw to Nnamdi Enechioyia, who then pitched to Sherman Harris, who ran for a TD. … Harris also had 3 INTs for the Saints.
