Three vehicles were involved in an accident Tuesday morning on eastbound Interstate 70, about one mile east of Exit 35 to Mapleville Road (Md. 66) near Smithsburg and Boonsboro.

Nobody was injured, Trooper James Bowers of the Maryland State Police said.

A Ford Focus collided with the back of a Ford pickup truck while trying to swerve around it, Bowers said.
The pickup truck was then forced into the back of a Subaru, Bowers said.

No lanes were closed as a result of the accident.

Police responded to the accident at 6:50 a.m.
