HAGERSTOWN — Potomac Heights Elementary School in Hagerstown welcomed approximately 300 people to its back-to-school picnic Sept. 12.

Those attending included students, parents, grandparents, siblings, school staff and other guests.

The theme for the picnic was anti-bullying, featuring a presentation by school counselor Beth Hofmann, and an anti-bullying song led by music teacher Laura Baker and performed by students in grades three through five.

Food and drinks were provided for all who attended. The food tent featured a “Project Peace” sign that was signed by students and was part of the anti-bullying theme.

The administration and staff at Potomac Heights thank the following sponsors who supported the event:

Aldi; Greensburg Market; Martin's stores on Dual Highway, Wesel Boulevard and North Pointe Drive; Sam's Club; Weis stores on Dual Highway and at Stone House Square; Food Lion on North Pointe Drive; and Sheetz on Maugans Avenue.
