Virginia (Ginger) Louise Pearman Needy, 65, of Hagerstown, Md., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born Feb. 18, 1946, she was the daughter of Elwood and Annabelle Pearman.

She was a 1964 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, and a 50-plus-year member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

Ginger was kind-hearted and very giving. She truly loved all people and life. Through Living Legacy (organ donor services), she was able to save the lives of others.

She is survived by her son, Richard Needy II and wife, Suzie Needy; a daughter, Lori Moser and husband, James Moser, all of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, Michael Sigler, James Moser, Justin Moser, Jesse Moser, Corey Sigler and Jacquelyn Moser; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie K. Woodard.

Memorial services will be Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 1020 Maryland Ave., Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. and services will begin at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews United Methodist Church.
