One person was injured Friday morning in an accident at the intersection of Little Antietam Road and Jefferson Boulevard, Lt. Mark Knight of the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.
A Chevrolet pickup truck turning left from Jefferson Boulevard eastbound onto Little Antietam Road went over a set of railroad tracks and collided with the front of a Nissan Frontier turning from Little Antietam Road onto Jefferson Boulevard, Knight said.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to Meritus Medical Center with minor injuries, Knight said.
Police responded the accident at 11:33 a.m. Friday, and blocked of Little Antietam Road from Jefferson Boulevard. The road reopened at noon, after the driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital.
An ambulance from Hagerstown Community Rescue Service and a firetruck from the Smithsburg Community Volunteer Fire Co. were also on the scene.
The Nissan Frontier was able to be driven away.
