WASHINGTON COUNTY GAMES

Clear Spring Blazers (3-0) at Boonsboro Warriors (3-0)

When: Friday, 7 p.m.

Series:  Boonsboro leads, 5-0.

Last meeting: 2008 —± Boonsboro, 47-0.

Last week: The Blazers beat Hancock, 34-6. … The Warriors beat South Hagerstown, 36-28.

Notes: The Warriors have outscored the Blazers 248-6 in their five meetings. … The Blazers are off to their first 3-0 start and have just their third winning streak of at least three games in the program's eight-year history. They won five straight at one point in 2010. … The Warriors' 3-0 start is their best since winning the first nine games of the 2008 season. … The 114 points scored by the Warriors are also the most in their first three games since the 2008 team scored 121. …

Silver Oak Academy Rams (1-2) at North Hagerstown Hubs (2-1)

Notes: The Rams have scored only 12 points, but half were good enough for its only win, a 6-0 decision over Perry (D.C.) Prep. They have given up 95 points. ... The Hubs have scored 30 points or more in six straight games dating back to last season. … North tailback Phillip Butler lit up the scoring column against Oakdale with 5 TDs, one on an interception and four rushing. ... Butler leads Washington County in rushing with 261 yards and in scoring with 48 points.

Brunswick Railroaders (2-1) at Smithsburg Leopards (2-1)

Last week: The Railroaders beat North Carroll, 67-14. … The Leopards lost to Manchester Valley, 25-20.

Notes: The Railroaders' victory last season ended a four-game skid against the Leopards. … The Railroaders scored 110 points in their two wins, but just three in their loss to Middletown. … The Leopards scored 21 points combined in their first two games — both wins — before scoring 20 in their loss to Manchester Valley last week. … Zach Krall had a 100-yard game in the loss to Manchester Valley and is fourth in rushing with 225 yards among Washington County schools.

Thomas Johnson Patriots (3-0) at South Hagerstown Rebels (2-1)
