Barnyard Jamboree to be held Oct. 1-2

STAR Community's Barnyard Jamboree will be Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1 and 2, at 13674 Greencastle Pike in Hagerstown.

It will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2.

The event will include crafts, direct sales, farm toy and children's toy vendors, antique tractor exhibits, children's activities, kids' pedal pull, face-painting, petting farm, carnival games, bounce slide, wagon rides, music and equestrian riding demonstrations.

The first 1,000 children will receive a prize (pick up at information booth). There will be an opportunity to win a $500 Ladies Schwinn Bicycle or a Wii gaming system for $1 a chance.

There will be a silent auction Saturday at 10 a.m. and a pie/cake auction at 3 p.m.

On Sunday at 10 a.m., there will be gospel music and praise. A cake auction will be held at 1 p.m.

Pony rides will be available both days between noon and 4 p.m. New this year will be a pumpkin patch.

A haunted corn field will be featured Friday, Sept. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 1, starting at 8 p.m.  each evening.
