Arrow shot into bumper of parked vehicle near city

Someone shot an arrow into the front bumper of a parked vehicle in the Friendship Park area west of Hagerstown, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred at about 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 11000 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Deputies said they believed that the person who shot the arrow was taking target practice and missed.

No one was injured.

Home near Williamsport ransacked, cash stolen

The Washington County Sheriff's Office reported that someone ransacked and stole cash from a home in the 15900 block of Dellinger Road near Williamsport.

The incident was believed to have happened Wednesday or Thursday.

Three jackets stolen from mall sporting good store

Three jackets were stolen earlier this week from a sporting goods store at Valley Mall in Halfway, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said the thefts happened at Shenk & Tittle between Sunday and Tuesday. Authorities have no suspects.
