Golf ball breaks window on Head Start bus

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — A Franklin County (Pa.) Head Start bus window was broken Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. by a golf ball, the Waynesboro Police Department said in a news release.

The ball went through the back window of a 2009 Chevrolet minibus, police said.

Washington County Sheriff's Office reports incidents

The following incidents were reported Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday by the Washington County Sheriff's Office:

  • A burglary in the 19500 block of Shepherdstown Pike.
  • Vandalism in the 300 block of South Artizan Street.
  • Copper theft in the 19400 block of Air View Road.
  • A theft in the first block of Western Maryland Parkway.
  • A theft in the 200 block of West Main Street in Sharpsburg.
  • Groceries were stolen in the 18700 block of North Pointe Drive.
  • A theft in the first block of West Baltimore Street in Funkstown.
  • A credit card was stolen from a vehicle in the 16900 block of Halfway Boulevard.
  • A house was ransacked and cash was stolen in the 15900 block of Dellinger Road.
  •  A burglary in the 20600 block of Woodbridge Drive.
  • Vandalism in the 11000 block of Lincoln Avenue.
  • A neighbor dispute in the 16900 block of Shinham Road.
  • Vandalism in the 100 block of Orchard Manor Drive.
  • Jackets were stolen in the 17300 block of Valley Mall Road.
  • Two pairs of shoes were stolen in the 600 block of Premium Outlets Boulevard.
  • A bicycle was stolen in the 12800 block of Oak Hill Avenue.
