Tuscarora School District reports damage to two buildings
MERCERSBURG, Pa. — The Tuscarora School District recently reported damage to two of its buildings, according to news releases from the Mercersburg Police Department.
School officials reported Friday that $500 worth of copper downspout was stolen from the administrative building at 118 E. Seminary St., police said.
Police believe the downspout was stolen when additional downspout was stolen from Trinity United Church of Christ earlier in the month.
A metal picnic table was damaged twice in June at Mercersburg Elementary School, police said. Police charged three juveniles with institutional vandalism and criminal conspiracy to commit institutional vandalism.
Garage door damaged after break-in attempt
MERCERSBURG, Pa. — A garage door was damaged when someone used a sharp instrument to try to gain entry overnight Monday, Mercersburg Police Department news release said.
The garage is along Lion's Alley to the rear of 10 Prospect St., police said.
