Cinetic Landis Corp.

Cinetic Landis Corp. appointed James Johnston to the position of product specialist for its double-disc grinders and laser-welding systems.

In his new position, Johnston will provide sales and application support for the products in conjunction with the company’s direct sales and distributor network in North America and South America.

A Pennsylvania native, Johnston has extensive sales and project management experience with technical and industrial products. He was most recently aftermarket sales manager at Knorr Brake Corp. of Westminster, Md.

Johnston attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., graduating with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1981. He lives in Ellicott City, Md.

Oak Hill Interior Design LLC

Vickie Hrabal, owner of Oak Hill Interior Design LLC of Hagerstown, was one of the judges for the Mid-Maryland Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s 2011 Coty Awards.

Hrabal has a bachelor’s degree in interior design, and is a trained kitchen and bath designer. Some of the categories in which contractors competed are residential kitchen $100,000 to $150,000; residential bath $30,000 to $60,000; residential interior $250,000 and less; residential entire house less than $250,000; and residential universal design.

Judging took place Sept. 12, in Frederick, Md. Awards will be presented at an Oct. 19 ceremony.



Summit Diabetes and Nutrition Services

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Karen Polensky joined the practice of Summit Diabetes and Nutrition Services, an affiliate of Summit Health, at 757 Norland Ave. in Chambersburg.

Polensky, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, joins Tracey Wiley, Patricia Carey and Melissa Benzon.

Summit Diabetes and Nutrition Services provides prescriptions, continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, insulin starts, meal planning, exercise planning, preventing complications, group classes and support groups.
