Hawks blank Allegany for 1st win

CUMBERLAND, Md. — Hagerstown Community College blanked Allegany 5-0 on Friday for its first win of the season.

Jordan Payne had a goal and two assists for the Hawks (1-2, 1-2 Maryland JuCo Conference), while Mamadou Jallow and Zack Morgan each had a goal and an assist. Gabe Hirsh and Nelson Moreno each had a goal and Josh Fahlfeder added an assist in the victory.

Keepers Chip Rittenhouse, Fredy Velazquez and Kenny Frederickson combined for the shutout for HCC.


Heritage 3, Shalom 0

Kara Stamper had 20 kills, eight blocks and three aces to lead Heritage Academy in a 25-8, 25-12, 25-14 Mason Dixon Christian Conference sweep of Shalom Christian Academy.

Callie Butts had 28 assists and two aces, Rachel Clarke had 10 kills and six blocks, Jessica Gaylor had nine service points, Stephanie O’Brien had six digs and Kathleen Kidd had 13 service points, two aces and five digs for the Eagles (7-0).

Natasha Gibble had five kills, two assists, five digs and two aces, Ashlyn Blank had 11 digs and two kills, Kristen Blank had four assists and four digs, Tori Yoder had three kills, Brooke Poe had four digs and an ace and Steph Bricker had four digs and two kills for the Flames.

Broadfording 3, Faith 0

Sarah Couch had 11 kills, seven aces and a block for Broadfording Christian Academy in a 25-16, 25-16, 25-10 Mason Dixon Christian Conference sweep of Faith Christian Academy.

Katie Connolly had four kills, 10 assists and seven aces for the Lions.

Frankfort 4, Berkeley Springs 0

FRANKFORT, W.Va. — Toni Davison had three kills and six digs for Berkeley Springs in a 25-17, 25-5, 25-8 loss to Frankfort.

Erin Close had five digs and five service points, Toni Davison had three kills and six digs and Brooklyn McCusker had 10 assists for the Indians.
