Bill Householder, 70, of Falling Waters, W.Va., died on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Born June 4, 1941, in Leitersburg, Md., he was the son of the late Clifford Joseph and Edith Householder.
He was retired from Home Construction Corp. after 35 years. Previously, he was employed by the Pennline Co. and Duvinage Corp.
He was a member of Williamsport Redmen No. 84 and a previous member of Classic Car Group for Children. He was an avid car enthusiast and participated in cruise-ins. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Stull Keadle Householder; one stepdaughter, Wendi Gschwind of Bel Air, Md.; one stepson, Richard Keadle of Hagerstown; four sisters, Mabel Reiff of Pinesburg, Md., Nellie Beitler and husband, Robert, of Downsville, Md., Elizabeth Johnson and husband, Ralph, of Williamsport, Md., and Helen Kepler and husband, Daniel, of Middletown, Md.; one brother, Ned Householder of Downsville, Md.; one granddaughter, Christina A. Alderton; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Null, Myrtle Barkefelt and Edith "Marty" Hess; five brothers, Newton, Jack, Leonard, Arnold and Paul "Tubby" Householder.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
