 Cause of mobile home fire ruled electrical

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A Saturday morning mobile home fire on Antrim Church Road started in a kitchen wall, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release Wednesday.

The electrical fire at 8767 Antrim Church Road heavily damaged Richard Penney’s modified mobile home.

A neighbor reported seeing smoke coming from the home at 10:21 a.m., Rescue Hose Co. Assistant Chief Mike Luger said Saturday.

The following incidents were reported by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

Wednesday

  • At 5:51 p.m., a garage fire in the 400 block of Mainsville Road in Southampton Township.
  • At various times in the evening, calls for flooding, and downed trees and power lines.

Thursday

  • At 2:02 a.m., a traffic accident in the 1800 block of Williamson Road.
  • At 3:42 a.m., a traffic accident at the intersection of Linwood Drive and Lincoln Way West.
  • At 6:45 a.m., a traffic at exit 5 on Interstate 81 south.
